One of the biggest things I do, that I love so much is merchandising the store. When new merchandise comes in, finding homes for each piece by creating a color story within the space of the store.
It’s so important to me that the space constantly feels new, so about once a month I switch every rack and color story within the space so the clients feel fresh every time they come to shop.
One of the many events for this store I helped coordinate, this was my favorite and most important, best sales coming from a fashion event while I was working at Cliche.
Working with a small team, we coordinated models, photography, a dj, styling and creating marketing materials for this event. It ended up being one of the highest attended events we had at the sho. Featuring the pieces on the models while on pedestals instead of a runway made people actually want to shop the looks more.
The biggest event I helped coordinate in another small team with the shop was the Fashion Week Event of Crosswalk. This years theme was “Pep Rally”, I also had a line for the event which is also pictured, but that and the marketing/ design and social media was my goal.
Creating media for print, Facebook, email and Instagram as well as for local bloggers we were able to have a really amazing turnout for the show!
Event/ Appreciation marketing
Working for a small business your customer is everything, developing relationships and making our customers feel loved and appreciated is something I like to focus on. Every year at Cliche we do a friends and family event as well as send out thank yous to our regulars at the shop.
As for all other events advertising and word of mouth to our customers about happy hours and weekend sales are so important. Creating a full marketing campaign around social media; instagram being the most important specifically. Also most important for these was email campaigns. Just letting the customer see the event as much as possible to have it stick in their brain, but not too much to not get annoying.
